Girls Varsity hockey made the trip to BB&N on Saturday to take on an always strong opponent. We continue to struggle with our play in front of our own net, and gave up the first two goals of the game off of rebounds. Allie Corrieri ’25 pulled us within one, though, picking up a puck in our own zone, bursting all the way into the offensive zone, and firing a shot in through a defender. A tough deflection off a skate gave BB&N their two goal lead back early in the third period, but once again Corrieri kept us in it with another strong effort to goal. We had lots of chances down the stretch, but ultimately couldn’t find the tying goal. Gia Thompson ’26 earned the hard hat for her gritty and team first play. Many thanks to the Wilburn family for the Chick-fil-A after the game! We now have a few days to prepare for the Cushing Holiday tournament!
