The game got off to a slightly slow start as both teams struggled to find their rhythm. In the second quarter, however, Deerfield started hustling to win turnovers and grab rebounds, and the first half ended 16-9 to Deerfield. The Doors were able to keep up in the pace throughout the rest of the game, scoring ten points in each of the last two quarters. Cori Scagel ’25 demonstrated the value in fighting to get your own rebound, and effective teamwork between Giorgia Santore ’24 and Fiona Van Nice ’25 helped Deerfield come away with the win. The final score was 36-21 to DA.
