Lacrosse, Boys: Junior Varsity defeats Loomis

Event Details

On a nice spring day in Deerfield, the boys JV lacrosse team faced off against Loomis Chaffee on the Fair Family Field. Within the first few minutes Deerfield jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back. Led by attackman Keith Davenport with 5 goals for the day, the Big Green dominated on both ends of the field. Newcomers to the lacrosse program Hugo Nutting and Matt Miron each scored their first goals for Deerfield. Will Dale, Max Wuchenich and Eamon Doheny each found the back of the net to help in the 11-4 victory. Solid defensive play from Jack Lund, Elliott Flagg, Francis Gannon, Matt Fierro, John O’Lounghlin, and Garrett DeMallie provided goalie Will Savage protection to only allow 4 goals in the contest. Luke Terry put in another strong showing facing off at the “X” for Deerfield winning 10 face-offs.The highlight of the game was defensemen Pat “Icebox” McKee going “coast to coast” for his first goal of the season. The team returns to action this Saturday, 4/27 at Andover.
