Phillips Exeter Academy traveled to 01342 to take on JV Girls Puck in DA’s first home game of 2019. The Big Green worked hard to generate chances against a quality opponent and quick goalie, and ultimately found the back of the net five times. From Alexa’s point shot to Juliet’s sharp angle snipe, from Bailey’s rebound finish to Hannah’s well-placed shot from the slot, there were many different types of goals scored by the Women of Winter. Maddie’s wrist shot inside the post, set up by a sweet 2-on-1 pass from Kami, was perhaps the prettiest hockey play of the afternoon. Hunter was terrific in the goal, making numerous big saves on close-in chances and truly earning her shut-out. It was a convincing team effort against a previously-undefeated Exeter squad.
