Field Hockey: Varsity defeats Choate

Event Details

DAFH has worked hard all season and the team was excited for their final regular season match-up with rival Choate on Saturday morning.  We left campus at 7:00 am for a 9:30 game in Wallingford.  The early start and the cold weather didn’t stop DA from performing.  In front of many friends and family, they won big.  Nine of our seniors were able to be on the field, all together, to finish out the final quarter of the game.  When the final whistle blew, the score was 8 – 0, Deerfield.  Goals were tallied by Juliet Perry ’19 (3),  Sharon Kereke ’19 (3), Mimi Pastor ’19, and Meredith Heaney ’19.  Heaney had a fantastic game both offensively and defensively in our midfield.  Next up for DA is a quarterfinal game against Sacred Heart in the first round of the NEPSAC Tournament!
