The Deerfield girls fought hard and well in an evenly matched game against Middlesex. One of our primary goals coming out of our previous contest was to take better care of the ball in the midfield, and the Big Green executed transitional ball movement with improved poise and composure. Our settled defensive work shone as a leading strength in the game as we held our opponent to only 6 goals. Despite many scoring opportunities, however, we struggled to place our shots, and this proved to be our most critical hurdle. The captains named Hannah Valencia as the Give More Player of the Day for her many outstanding saves in net.
