For the season’s first road match, Deerfield took the Mohawk Trail east to take on the Groton Zebras. The team’s final outing of the year proved quite successful. After a hasty warmup, the evens got off o a relatively slow start in their opening games before finding their groove on the Groton courts with decisive 3-0 wins. The odds also faltered a bit, dropping a couple games, but prevailed in the end. After their 7-0 victory, the girls celebrated finishing 2017 as an undefeated team with dinner at Panera on the way home.
