Williston and Deerfield waged a defensive battle in the first half, as neither team broke the 30-point barrier before the midway buzzer. Hampered by the absence of three starters due to injury and sickness, the Deerfield squad wore down in the second half as Williston pulled away. Sam Powell, in just his second start at point guard, led the team with nine points. Colman Shea chipped in with 8 points, including two deep three-pointers. Jordan Crissy converted a free throw for his first varsity point of the season.
