Deerfield Academy JV Baseball Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Eaglebrook School
Deerfield JV took the lead late and defeated Eaglebrook School 6-2 on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Deerfield batting in the top of the fifth when Eaglebrook uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run for the Big Green.

After Deerfield scored one run in the top of the seventh, Eaglebrook School answered with one of their own.  The JV squad scored on a wild pitch, scoring one run. Eaglebrook School then answered by singling off of Henry Renelus, driving in one run.

Eaglebrook School knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. An error scored one run for Eaglebrook School. Renelus earned the win for Deerfield. He threw seven innings, allowing two runs, six hits, striking out four, and walking zero.

The team collected nine hits.  Luke Terry and Shane Graves each collected multiple hits.  Miles Menafee, John Sawyers, and Thomas Gale each drove in one run to lead the squad.
