Deerfield’s varsity girls put together a commanding victory on Wednesday at Suffield Academy. Winning every match, the girls played with patience and control. Ashley Manning won at first singles 8-0. Tori Waterfall defeated her opponent 8-1. At third singles, Adeliza Grace won 8-2. Mimi Delisser won a quick match 8-0. The doubles teams operated with efficiency, winning 8-1, 8-1, and 8-0 at first, second, and third doubles respectively. Lisa Chen and Alya Abd-Aziz found a rhythm in their first start as a pair, closing out points quickly at the net. Catalina Llorente and Maddie Chai, also playing as a team for the first time, controlled their match from the onset and delivered a shutout win.
