Lacrosse, Girls: Junior Varsity defeats St. Mark’s

Event Details

On a great weather day, DA’s JV girls’ lax team headed down to a somewhat damp field to play their first game of the season against a talented St. Marks team. From the first whistle, the girls applied all they had learned in the previous week in order to make good connections and smart decisions. This was a solid full-team effort, and all of our girls were able to see some time on the field and contribute to the 12-4 win over the Lions. Despite it being our first game, the Doors played as a team unit and made beautiful transitions from the defensive end all the way to our attacking end. Isabella Geraci ’19 had a fantastic game, working hard all over the field and gaining possession of the majority of the draws she took. Jill O’Connor ’19 had some great saves in net, and a total of 8 players contributed to our 12 goals. The girls look forward to taking on Andover this Wednesday at their house after a beautiful two days of practice, and the coaches are very excited to have such a fun and hard-working group of girls to coach this season!
