Inspired by a large home crowd, the Big Green Girls defeated the heralded Westminster Martlets 7-0. Not a single Deerfield player dropped a game. The closest match came at the #1 spot, as the Martlet senior captain rallied consistently against Deerfield’s senior co-captain Maddie Chai, but Maddie’s deadly drop shot proved too tough for her Westy opponent to handle. The Big Green hits the road again on Monday for a match against the Loomis Chaffee Pelicans.
