Deerfield battled a tough Loomis Chaffee team on Wednesday night. They got off to a slow start against the long and athletic Pelicans and although they showed some glimpses of what they are capable, Deerfield couldn’t quite overcome the deficit that they found themselves in at halftime. They brought the game to within 10 midway through the second half, but Loomis wouldn’t give and their size ended up being the difference when the final horn sounded. Jackson Mannix led the Deerfield scoring with 13 and Will Santos and Billy Lahart added 11 and 9 respectively.
