Boys Soccer Drops Decision to Andover
The big green made the trip to Andover on Saturday afternoon in hopes of getting back in the win column. It was a cold and wet morning but thankfully the rain stopped in time for kickoff on Andover’s immaculate grass pitch. The boys were motivated and excited to take on another very talented team. However, an early Andover goal that came 39 seconds into the opening frame proved to be the only goal of the afternoon. After scoring their first, Andover continued to press and had the majority of the possession throughout the half but DA was able to weather the storm, holding their opposition to the lone goal and creating a number of scoring chances ourselves. The second half was a much different story as DA began to press and looked poised to find the back of the net. After a number of quality opportunities were turned away or sailed just wide of the net, the ref blew the final whistle with the game ending 1-0 in favor of the home team.
