Deerfield played solid first and third periods against a strong St. Mark’s squad, but fell apart in the middle frame, allowing four goals and turning what should have been a competitive game into a blowout. While playing a tough game the night before certainly contributed to our lack of jump, it was mostly mental errors that led to our demise. Ali Fujiyoshi ’19 and Ali Dougal ’18 both had good games on defense, and penalty killers Isabel Perry ’16, Meghan Halloran ’17, Taylor Morash ’16, and Mary Edmonds ’19 were particularly effective in this role.
