Jenna started running at 12 years old and became a competitive member of the cross country team at Norwin High School, located just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up. She led the XC team to a district championship title with her individual win her junior year. She was then offered a scholarship to run at Duquesne University where her XC team won two Atlantic 10 conference championship titles. After graduating from Duquesne University with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016, she moved to Amherst, MA to start her career in family medicine. She loves training on the many trails and dirt roads in Western Massachusetts and continues to compete post-collegiately as a member of the Western Mass Distance Project team. Jenna is so grateful for all of the great coaches and team experiences she has had as a runner and is thrilled to finally have the opportunity to give back to young female runners as an assistant XC coach at Deerfield Academy. When not running or working, you can find her playing with her dogs, in her vegetable garden, or cooking in the kitchen.
