Hannah Goodrick-Armstrong joins Deerfield Academy in 2025 as a science teacher, head field hockey coach, and assistant girls’ water polo coach. An alumna of Greenwich Academy, Hannah attended Williams College where she earned a degree in Music, studied along the premedical track, captained the field hockey team, and played on the club water polo team. In the summer months, she led a youth swimming and water polo program, an experience that first inspired her to pursue athletics leadership in her career.
Hannah’s work in independent schools as a science teacher and head coach began at the Eaglebrook School followed by Dexter Southfield and, most recently, Loomis Chaffee. Hannah also worked in clinical research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, taught music at the Boston School of Music Arts, led the Boston College Women’s Club Water Polo team, and coached with HTC Field Hockey Club in Connecticut.
Hannah resides on campus with her husband, Mike. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin and piano and training for triathlons.
