Nutritionist, Nathalie Rhone ’08 will be moderating our panel and sharing a favorite recipe of hers! Our panelists include Felicia Hawkins ’99, Yasmine Nemazee ’98 and Mackenzie Tsang-Lee ’08. Read their bios below.
Felicia graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1999. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University. After graduating from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School Of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center in 2016. Dr. Hawkins is a board-certified OB/GYN at ChristianaCare in Maryland. She enjoys reading, spending time with her teenage daughter when she will oblige her, and trying new recipes.
Yasmine graduated from Deerfield in 1998. She is an Internal Medicine Physician currently working in London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
She most recently lived in Dubai where she practiced Internal Medicine and was Chief Medical Officer for Health at Hand, the first fully licensed telemedicine platform in the Middle East. She has recently completed her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University with a focus in the growing field of humanitarian health.
Previously, Yasmine completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Primary Care at New York University where she was elected to the position of Chief Resident. She holds a BA with Honors from Harvard University, a MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is registered with the General Medical Council in the United Kingdom. Yasmine was born and raised in New York City and currently lives in London with her husband and three children.
Nathalie is a Registered Dietitian and Functional Medicine Nutritionist who has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cornell University, completed her Dietetic Internship at New York University and NYU Langone Medical Center, and has a Master’s of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. In addition to one-on-one counseling Nathalie has also worked at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
The relationship between food, emotion, science, and spirituality is complex. Nathalie’s background in psychology has provided her with the tools for the deep psychological exploration that is needed to accompany intensive nutrition therapy for true success. Nathalie not only has a strong science foundation, but she has a unique understanding of the connection between the mind and the body, and absolutely loves good food!
Nathalie is the founder of Nutrition by Nathalie LLC and All Good Eats, a social media health and wellness brand focusing on healthy, practical recipes and leading a clean, holistic lifestyle.
When she isn’t working with her clients or on media projects, you can find Nathalie working out, experimenting with new recipes in the All Good Eats Kitchen, or spending time with her husband, baby boy, and mini-aussie!
Mackenzie has been an oncology nurse for 8 years, working on both the hospital side of medicine as well as research and pharmaceutical industry sides. Mackenzie has significant experience in clinical trial operations for Phase I-IV oncology studies, with a focus on melanoma, genitourinary cancer, and the leukemia and lymphoma populations. Her approach to health is always drawn from her nursing foundation, encompassing a holistic view of what wellness and quality of life means for each individual.
Mackenzie graduated from Deerfield in 2008. She went on to receive her BA in Biology and BS in Nursing from University of Rochester, and will complete her MBA degree with a concentration in healthcare management in 2021. She has her nursing license and oncology certifications in both New York State and Texas, and currently works at Medpace as a Clinical Trial Manager for US and global clinical research studies. Mackenzie was born and raised in San Francisco, and currently resides in Dallas with her partner, Gary, and their dog, Bogey.
