Childcare Program

Reunions are a time for families and we would like to encourage you to bring yours. We’ve made arrangements to help accommodate families and allow you to enjoy time with your classmates as well. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please contact Susan Caffery at scaffery@deerfield.edu or 413-774-1585.

The Program: Details on the childcare activities will be sent to parents a month before reunions and will be available at the registration desk upon arrival. Please advise us of any allergies, medical concerns, or other issues at the time of registration.

We do not provide childcare for children under the age of 3. All children must be potty-trained. Younger infants and children will need to remain with parents or their own caregivers. Teens (over 12) are welcome to participate in most programs, activities and meals as registered guests of their parent(s) at the adult rate, but please know that not many older teenagers come to reunions. Childcare program covers children ages 3 to 12.

Hours:
Friday Evening: 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday Morning: 8:30 AM – Noon
Saturday Evening: 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Meals: The childcare program provides snacks and age-appropriate suppers during the childcare sessions on Friday and Saturday. Please advise us of any food allergies on the registration form. For other meals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, children are welcome to join their families.

Sleeping Arrangements: Children, older than 11, will have their own dorm rooms, if space permits. Because dorm rooms are singles with only one bed per room, it is important to bring sleeping bags and pillows for younger children. Older teenagers registering as adult guests of their parent(s) will have separate dorm rooms. On campus accommodations are provided for Friday and Saturday nights only.

Registration: There is no charge for children under 3. Teenagers are welcome to register at the adult rate as guests of their parent(s) for the weekend. Children should be registered on the same form as their parent(s).
