The 23-year-old recently completed a six-week odyssey, turning conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour into a U.S. Open invite.
A dramatic victory punctuated the run.
Wu locked up an invite to Winged Foot when he fired a final-round 65 at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on Aug. 30 to win by a stroke. It capped a clutch playoff surge and set up a rare home game.
For the last decade, he’s called Scarsdale home.”
“It was just incredible,” Wu said of the final round, which began with him trailing by five. “I wanted so badly to come play in a hometown U.S. Open and to be able to do it in that fashion was really cool.”
