Deerfield Club of New England Fall Play Opening Night Reception

Set during the Great Depression, “You Can’t Take It With You” is one of the most popular and successful plays of modern times. At the center of the play is the Vaderhof family, a collection of eccentric and cheerful non-conforming incompetents. When Alice Vanderhof falls in love with her boss, Tony Kirby, who is the the epitome of normality and success, things begin to go awry. Funny, up-lifting and at times bizarre, this play has warmed audiences for generations. Perfect for a chilly October evening, Deerfield Academy’s production of “You Can’t Take It With You” will surely become a favorite. Join us for our Opening Night Reception at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Show starts at 7:00 PM with a pre-show discussion featuring Catriona Hynds, Director at 6:20 PM at the Hess Center for the Arts.
