Some fun news from Nashville, TN: I recently released a full-length, throwback, instrumental surf rock album with my new musical project, The Chi-Tones™. With a strong Baja, Mexico, and desert rock influence drawing from my own personal surf travels and misadventures over the years, it is titled “Salsipuedes”. The album was written, recorded, and produced in my home studio here in Nashville, TN; mixed by Buckley Miller (Big Art); and mastered by Ryan Smith (Sterling Sound) for digital and vinyl formats. Featuring twelve original songs, the limited edition 12″ eco-vinyl record is available for purchase at thechitones.bandcamp.com, while the digital album is now available worldwide on all streaming platforms, wherever you prefer to listen to music online. The record has been picking up steam on roots radio, as well as the college circuit and specialty radio, and I’m excited to keep the momentum going through year-end. Coming up for the 2025 holiday season, The Chi-Tones will be releasing a 5-song Christmas EP featuring some of my favorite, classic Christmas songs with a surfy twist. I’ve always wanted to record and release some Christmas music, and this project turned out to be the perfect excuse to make it happen – super fun! The Christmas EP, titled “A Christmas Wave”, drops worldwide on Friday, November 21, 2025 – just in time for the holidays! Find it online wherever you listen to music, give it a spin, and spice up your holiday season with a fresh take on some festive Christmas classics! Apart from the music, I’m looking forward to a hopefully snowy winter in Colorado and Utah for some powder turns and as many waves on the coast as I can get a hold of after a few years in and out of knee and shoulder surgeries. I’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for out there! If any Class of ’94 folks happen to be in Nashville, TN, at any time in the next few months, or if any of you are looking for a ski or surf pal, be sure to look me up! I’d love to see you and reconnect! Otherwise, visit me at TheChiTones.com and say “Hello!”
