Q: Who can use the lab?

A: The Innovation Lab is open to the entire Deerfield Academy community. We encourage anyone interested in seeing the lab or building a project to come by!

Q: Where is it located?

A: The Innovation Lab is located on the ground floor of the library.

Q: When is it open?

A: The lab is open for students and classes whenever the library is open. There are faculty members in the lab and available to help you with your projects Mondays-Thursdays from 6:45pm-9:45pm.

Q: What tools and resources are in the Innovation Lab?

A: We have a variety of digital fabrication tools, including a poster printer, vinyl cutter, laser cutter, and 3D printer. Please refer to the iLab’s tech resources pages for details. Training classes are listed on the calendar.

Q: I have an idea for a project, but am not really sure how to make it happen. What should I do?

A: Contact Megan Hayes-Golding, the Innovation Lab Coordinator. She’d love to hear from you!

Q: I’m a faculty member and want to bring my class to the lab. How do I arrange this?

A: Whether you have a fully fleshed out plan or are looking to brainstorm ideas and collaborate, contact Emily Richardson! We love to have classes come and use the space.
