Turnitin is a web-based service that assists students in the writing process by providing plagiarism prevention assistance and feedback. Turnitin’s Originality Check compares submitted papers to a database of collected paper, web sites, online databases, and publications, and identifies potential areas of plagiarism. By adding this service into the writing cycle, students have the opportunity to correct identified areas of potential plagiarism prior to submitting their work.
We have integrated Turnitin with Moodle for ease of access and usability. In order to use Turnitin effectively, you will need to make changes to your web browser. Select the link below for the browser you use most regularly for Moodle for directions on making these changes. Note: Moodle works best with Firefox.
Following are directions for creating Turnitin assignments, uploading papers to be reviewed, and retrieving Originality Reports.
