Parents must make travel arrangements for students for all school vacations.

Charter Bus Service

Deerfield Academy arranges charter buses for student travel on Thanksgiving Vacation, Winter Vacation, Long Winter Weekend, and Spring Vacation. To purchase tickets, students are required to sign up (students receive advance notice of the sign-up dates and the bus information). With the exception of the end-of-vacation transportation from Bradley Airport, students may use their school account to purchase tickets. Please note that charter buses are not available at the beginning of school in September, at the end of school in June, or on Fall Parents Weekend or Spring Parents Weekend.

View the complete VACATION schedule here.  Departure buses leave at 1:30 at the beginning of vacations, and students are required back to campus by 7:30 pm from every vacation.

Round Trip charter bus transportation is available for: Bradley Airport (van service at end of vacation); Darien, CT; New York City

One Way charter bus transportation is available to: Boston, MA.  (But new this year 2012-2013 – there will be a return bus from Logan ONLY, for the ALL the vacations this year).
