Changing Your Network Password (Mac)

Use this document if you use a Mac and…
  • Your network password is expired, or is about to expire
  • OR you recently changed your network password in Outlook Web Access (OWA) and you need to sync your system’s credentials
  1. Connect to a wired port – you WILL NOT be able to do this over WIFI
  2. Confirm your network connection by going to http://deerfield.edu
  3. Log off your Mac by clicking the Apple on the menu bar and selecting “Log Out…”
  4. Log back into your Mac using your current password.  If you recently reset your password via OWA this step will sync your system password and you do not need to continue to step 5.
  5. If your password is expired or about to expire, follow the prompts to change your password.
Note: Please adhere to the Deerfield Academy password standards:

Note also that your account will be locked after 5 unsuccessful login attempts and you will not be able to change your password again for one day after a change.
