The Scroll is currently writing several articles about the legalization of gay marriage. We would greatly appreciate hearing students’ and teachers’ opinions on this subject. Please take 5 seconds to answer this one-question survey.
The Scroll is writing an article on the climate protest that several students and faculty attended this past weekend in Washington D.C. To go along with the article, we have constructed the following poll to consider the student body’s input. Please take a moment to answer this three question survey.
The Scroll will hold forums to discuss socioeconomic class differences and how they shape our relationships and experiences at Deerfield this Sunday. There will be a forum for just faculty from 5-6 p.m. in the Caswell Library. A student-only forum will take place directly after sitdown dinner in the Memorial Building Lobby.
The Scroll will accept applications until Thursday, October 25. Please staple applications and place them in either Ms. Schloat or Ms. Fan’s faculty mailbox (in the basement of MSB) by 8 p.m.
Here is the application for Scroll photographers! Deadline is this Saturday, September 22. Those of you who were photographers for the Scroll last spring, please fill out an application as well. Instructions are on the application, but should you have any questions, please feel free to email me at aso@deerfield.edu. Thanks!
If you’re interested in videography or working for the Scroll, there are positions available for Scroll Videographers. The Scroll usually comes out with 1 or 2 videos every issue, and they are made available on the Scroll website. If you’re interested, please contact Kevin Tang at ktang@deerfield.edu for more details.

Applications for new Deerfield Scroll staff writers are due to Ms. Hannay or Mr. Palmer no later than 7pm on November 3.
