Notes from Abroad: Oxford #4 — Living Art

Christina Kopp – March 19, 2014

English instructor and Assistant Dean of Faculty Pete Nilsson sends the following two photos of the Oxford group’s study of art and literature. Thanks also to Acadia Mezzofanti ’14, who provided the beautiful image of Oxford in the spring!

The Oxford group recently visited the Ashmolean Museum Print Room, where Colin Harrison, the Senior Assistant Keeper for Western Art, showed the students a 19th century copy of Le Morte d'Arthur that was illustrated by painters from the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. (Photo Credit: P. Nilsson)
