Four Alumni Share Stories at Pathways 2014

Jessica Pleasant – January 21, 2014

This past Sunday, Deerfield welcomed four alumni back to campus as part of the Pathways program. Now in its 13th year, Pathways is an opportunity for returning alumni to share stories with the senior class about their career paths, challenges faced, and life lessons learned since graduating from Deerfield.

Pathways 2014 featured: Jessica LaPorte ’09, a Tufts University senior majoring in International Relations; Woodrow Travers ’05, a filmmaker currently working in New York as 2nd Assistant Director on the Keanu Reeves action movie John Wick; David Thomas ’01, a professional sports agent and former professional hockey player; and Rebecca Pond ’98, a senior project manager on the Globalization team at EMC in Hopkinton, MA.

Following a panel discussion, the Class of 2014 shared brunch and many laughs with the four alumni presenters. Many thanks to Jessica ’09, Woodrow ’05, David ’01, Rebecca ’98, and the Pathways Committee for their efforts in orchestrating a wonderful morning for the senior class!
