DA Robotics Advances to CT State Championship

On January 18th the DA robotics team competed in the Connecticut state qualifying competition at Greenwich Academy. In this event the DA team “Big Green” was randomly paired with other teams to form an alliance to compete against another pair of teams. The top four finishers in the first round picked partners to compete in the elimination championship round. Big Green was selected to enter the championship round. They also won third place for the FTC Inspire award who citation reads, “This team is a top contender for all other judging categories and is a strong competitor on the field. The Inspire Award Winner is an inspiration to other teams, acting with Gracious Professionalismâ„¢ both on and off the playing field. This team is able to communicate their experiences, enthusiasm and knowledge to other teams, sponsors, and the Judges. Working as a unit, this team will have demonstrated success in accomplishing the task of creating a working and competitive robot.”

In winning this award the team moves on to the Connecticut state championship at Greens Farms Academy on March 8th.
