3D Printer Mini-Clinic on Friday

Hills, Ivory – October 24, 2013

Deerfield Community,

We have received two new 3D printers and I think it is time to run a few mini-clinics on the use of the printer and some easily accessible software packages.

Everyone is invited to the unboxing of one of these printers on Friday night in the Koch.

The format will be:
1. 10 to 15 minutes of introduction to the concept of 3D printing and the software we use to prepare and send jobs.
2. 10 minutes of introduction to the actual 3D printer and how to set it up and use it properly.
3. Approximately 20 to 30 minutes of printing something and going over questions or concerns.
We will start at 7PM. Please email me if you plan to attend (ihills@deerfield.edu) so that I can find the appropriate space. It is likely we will be in KCH-105. Bring your computer if you have one.

All are invited – young and old; students and instructors; technophiles and technophobe.

Best Regards,

Dr. Hills
