The Next Time You See Ms. Schettino, Congratulate Her!

The December 2011/January 2012 issue of Mathematics Teacher features an article written by one of Deerfield’s own—Carmel Schettino. Titled “Teaching Geometry Through Problem-Based Learning,” the article describes Ms. Schettino’s journey toward researching and learning about problem-based learning in mathematics education at the secondary school level. Mathematics Teacher is a nationally-recognized publication that is extremely popular among educators, and it is no small thing to have an article published in one of their issues.
