Meet Bethany Shippee, a Dietetic Intern from UMASS Amherst. Ms. Shippee has her BS in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. She is interning in the foodservice department until mid January. This week Ms. Shippee launches her fruit & vegetable promotion project in the Dining Hall. She will be offering Taste Tests every weeknight during dinner in the lobby until the start of winter break. Be sure to stop by to taste some new and unusual fruits and vegetables. Ms. Shippee has also posed a challenge to Deerfield students to eat the national recommendation of 5 cups of fruit and vegetables (2 ½ cups of each) every day for 5 weeks.
