On Wednesday afternoon, an injury plagued Deerfield took on Westminster. It was a cool afternoon on the turf, but we started off quickly controlling the ball very well and generating a lot of chances in the first half. Despite dominating most of the play we went into halftime scoreless. The second half started off relatively similar, until Daniel Blohm ’13 fired a shot that the Westminster goalie made a tremendous save on. However, Alex Osgood ’13 was there to put away the rebound into an empty net. Our back line limited Westy’s chances  the whole game, but they were able to tie the game up with a perfectly placed shot just under the crossbar. Our final attempts to win the game were held off as the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Even though we felt we should have come away with a better result we are excited for our game under the lights at Hotchkiss on Friday.
