Varsity Soccer (Boys) conceded to KUA at KUA, 5-2

            Deerfield arrived at the brisk venue of KUA with a positive attitude and ready to start the second half of the season on a strong foot. When the game started, Deerfield came out strong. Deerfield possessed the ball well early, leading to many great chances. At the 9th minute, Deerfield came upon a free kick near the 18-yard line. Kurt Heise kicked a laser of a shot that went right past the goalkeeper. Four minutes later, Deerfield came upon another free kick where Kurt Heise struck a great cross to the towering Colin Crihfield who flicked the ball off his head and into the back of the net. For most of the remaining half, both sides had their scoring chances. But at the 44th minute, KUA slipped aball past the Deerfield defense and scored. At the beginning of the second half, Deerfield started off defending strong but unfortunately KUA scored three goals in eight minutes. Throughout the half Deerfield tried to comeback with some decisive attempts of goal scoring, but near the end of the game KUA scored another goal from forty yards out. Despite the loss, Deerfield played hard,showed moments of great possession, and finished the game on a strong note.
