Deerfield took a long bus ride to New Hampton Friday night, and unfortunately came out on the wrong side of a close game. Both teams did a nice job of creating offensive opportunities, with the Big Green having numerous near-misses from in close. Hannah Insuik ’13, in her first game back from injury, played well in goal with 23 saves. Katherine Jackson ’15 scored the only goal of the game for the visitors on the power play, ripping a shot into the net off of a pass from Devinne Cullinane ’14. The team will look to rebound Saturday afternoon against Taft at home. Many thanks to the Logies and Insuiks for the meatball subs and snacks after the game.
