Varsity Hockey (Girls) vs. NSA at Deerfield Holiday Invitational
Deerfield opened their holiday tournament with a 5-1 loss against a seasoned NSA squad. The teams traded power play goals in the first period, with Kayla O’Connor ’14 banging home a loose puck for the Big Green (Devinne Cullinane ’14 and Katherine Jackson ’15 earned the assists). Deerfield came out slowly in the second, and NSA took advantage of every mistake to build an insurmountable lead. The third period was a better battle, but it was too little, too late. Emily Yue ’16 played well in goal with 30 saves.
