Varsity Field Hockey vs. Hotchkiss at Hotchkiss

It was a tough day for the DA squad in Lakeville this afternoon.  Both sides came out ready for the match and the first 15 minutes saw relatively even play from the Green and the Blue.  However, Hotchkiss found the back of the net after a corner play 17 minutes in and it was clear that momentum had shifted in their favor.  The Bearcats tallied another goal before the halftime horn to make it 2-0 at the intermission.  Hotchkiss continued to control the play in the second half and put in two additional goals before the match ended.  Although it was a tough match, the Deerfield girls walked away knowing a bit more about what needs to be improved upon.  The Green hosts their first home game against Ethel Walker at 2:30 on Wednesday.
