Tough day in the saddle for the newbies to the DA squad. Hank and Jarred rode strong (and then rode the race back to the start for another 20 training miles, their legs don’t care for Mr. Calhoun!). Sunho was felled by strong cramping but is getting ready for a big race at Gould. David Keith rode well in his first race in the C’s! Anna Lu, Anna Gonzales and Sofi Taylor were fantastic and had strong days on the road. Anna Lu fought hard after being wrecked by some “interesting” riding by her opponents in the opening mile. She raced well and finished strong despite the blood and pain, tremendous grit Anna! Hats off to a great ride from the Killington Mountain School cycling team who executed a perfect A ride in the boy’s race as Vollers Jr. soloed 19 miles for the victory, something that hasn’t happened at the Holderness race for over a decade, perhaps not since Tyler Hamilton in the late 80′s, wow!
