Varsity Cycling vs. Gould – Away

A long drive on a cold day for the DA cycling squad.  An intrepid group of five headed up 91 to the Great Northern Forest to race uphill to the top of Grafton Notch in scenic Maine whose state motto is “The Way Life Should Be.”  Apparently, the gods of weather and luck decided that Life should be very, very tough for us.  30 mph winds and 35 degree weather ruled the day and Sunho/Hank both crashed several times and Jarred had spokes torn out of his wheel in the final sprint.  A tough day for the boys but they fought hard and continue to build their skill.  On the girls’ side, Anna G and Anna L fought valiantly through the elements and finished in the top half of their field!  We have a bit of a break in the season and return to action on May 9th in Franconia, NH for a road race with an epic climbing finish!
