A great day for DA cycling seniors! Â The underclassmen all had great efforts, Hank, David, Jarred and Sofia all had wonderful seasons of growth but the day belonged to Anna and Rhys. Â Anna fought hard and while she ran out of steam on the final climb, she produced her strongest result as a DA rider! Â Rhys broke away from the field with a Proctor rider after 2 of 12 laps and neither relented over the course of the race. Â Rhys played a beautifully tactical game and broke away on the final climb for a sweet final victory. Rhys has been out for most of the season with a knee injury and has been unable to defend his season champion position from a year ago. Â However, winning the championship race puts the icing on the proverbial cake and he leaves DA as the most accomplished cyclist in DA history!
