GV Water Polo @ New England’s

After upsetting top-seeded Loomis in the semifinals, Deerfield came achingly close to knocking off second-seeded Andover in the New England Final.  Battling back from a 4-1 deficit in the first quarter, the girls held the lead in the fourth quarter until Andover scored the tying goal with 36 seconds remaining in regulation.  The Blue went on to score two quick goals in overtime, and despite a number of good shots, Deerfield couldn’t battle back again.

Maddie McGraw, who had 21 saves in the final game, was the All-Tournament Goalie, and Liza Bragg and Averi Westerman were named to the All-Tournament Team.
