The Deerfield girls cross country squad won the division I race at the Canterbury Invitational for the fourth year in a row with outstanding efforts from all seven runners. The new Canterbury course was a little longer than advertised (3.2 miles) but the girls did not let an extra tenth of a mile spoil their annual championship party. Captain Devinne Cullinane finished second overall with a time of 19:23, followed by Phoebe Morss, 7th in 20:25, Same Morse (12th, 20:58), Lauren Ilsley (18th, 21:39), Margo Downes (19th, 21:41), Madisen Siegel (27th, 22:50), and Penelope Hough (64th, 26:39).
Next week most of the girls travel to the Westminster School to defend their winning streak at the Richard Miller Invitational. See you there!
