Whether it is playing on a team, acting, singing, mealtime in the Dining Hall, or just hanging out with a faculty member at a dorm “feed,” living at Deerfield is a unique experience, a chance to be surrounded by friends and classmates from all over the country and all over the world. The corridor is the center of social life on campus.
It is in your daily life on your corridor that you will begin to achieve a sense of community. Learning to live with others—to balance a need for privacy with a growing sense of the needs and rights of others—is key to the success of your Deerfield experience. On the corridor, you make your first friends and develop productive study habits. Through living with others from different backgrounds and interests, you will discover that learning at a boarding school is a continuous and lively adventure.
