Tim McVaugh

History Teacher

Tim was born and raised in Hamilton, NY. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 2007, where he played ice hockey and squash. Voted MVP by his teammates, he was also elected team captain for his final season. At Bowdoin, Tim was a history major and worked for the college as assistant sports information director. The summer after he earned his diploma, he flew to Germany to play professional ice hockey and to coach in a youth hockey league, which helped him develop his conversational proficiency in German.

Tim came to Deerfield in the fall of 2008. He enjoys the small-town feel of Western Massachusetts and all the area has to offer.
