Dr. Fritz earned her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision with a concentration in School Counseling from Northern Illinois University. Her teaching experience includes: Adjunct faculty member at NIU, Assistant Professor DePaul University, and Adjunct faculty University of Massachusetts. She taught the following courses; Legal and Ethical Issues for School Counselors, Theories of Individual and Group Counseling, Counseling Skills, Multicultural Counseling, Internship and Practicum.
Dr. Fritz served as a school counselor in the public school system for six years. During which time she supervised the field experiences of school counseling students from various local universities enrolled in internship and practicum courses.
Outside the arena of school counseling Dr. Fritz has 17 years of clinical counseling experience. She practiced in outpatient community mental health centers and hospital programs and opened her own private practice specializing in women and adolescent issues.
