Returning to Deerfield for a full year of teaching is Neil Jacobs, Deerfield class of 1969. Neil will teach in the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department replacing Michael O’Donnell during his sabbatical year. For the past 35 years, Neil has practiced law at WilmerHale in Boston, where his specialties are in employment and labor law, and he has extensive experience in negotiation and collective bargaining agreements. Neil has worked with industries ranging from technology to health care to professional sports teams to educational institutions and more. Neil thoroughly enjoyed teaching at Deerfield in the spring of 2012 and is delighted to be returning to Deerfield to fulfill one of his life-long dreams. Here at Deerfield, Neil will live in Hitchcock House, be an associate in Louis Marx, work with JV Basketball, and guide the Debate Team.
