Lauren Brozovich came to Deerfield from Harvard University, where she completed a thesis titled, The Aesthetics and Ethics of Mediation: Representing the Environment in Twentieth-Century American Poetry. But Lauren’s journey to such a literary destination wasn’t typical; during her first two and a half years as an undergraduate, Lauren concentrated in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. Lauren’s teaching career began as a teaching fellow at Andover right after college. There, she was mentored by Ada Fan, and since then, Lauren has taught–and won several awards for her teaching–at Harvard. Here, Lauren will live in Scaife II, work with the water polo teams, guide research work for a cohort of the Global H2O class, and serve on the Library Task Force and Dorm Council.
