Catriona Hynds

Director of Theater

From 1996 to 2011, Catriona was Acting and Directing Professor at Ohio Northern University, where she was also Managing Director of the Freed Center for Performing Arts for ten years. Catriona, who has traveled all over the world to direct plays and to lecture on different aspects of theater, began her career in the arts at Glasgow University in Scotland, where she earned her Masters with Honors in both English Literature and Theatre Studies. Before attending university, Catriona became well acquainted with the boarding school world during her years at St. Denis and Cranley School in Edinburgh, Scotland. Passionate about the role of the arts in a community, Catriona has organized numerous national tours of theater, dance, comedy, music, and children’s productions.
