Pamela Bonanno arrived at Deerfield in 1979 with her husband Richard and their two children to teach mathematics. She is a 1969 graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent in with a BA in mathematics, and an MA from Teacher's College of Columbia University, Class of 2003.

After 18 years working in the Dean of Students Office, Pamela is currently a fulltime teacher of mathematics, a community service coach, and lives in Bewkes House with "eight delightful young women," husband Richard, and golden retriever Rita.
